Carnival is a traditional festivity full of colors, excitement, balloons, serpentine and lots of fun, it is celebrated in many regions of Peru. But in Coyllurqui 3,160 meters above sea level (called Pearl of Apurimac), a small paradise 160 km from the city of Cusco, you experience the best carnivals, this tradition is celebrated every year in the month of February, a very important cultural expression, this celebration It begins with the day of the compadres and comadres where the population as a whole makes their dolls with clothes from the neighbors who neglected their clothes and accompanied by the Tinya, the quenas and lindas Coyllurquinas qhaswan through different streets of the town.

This celebration full of tradition, culture and excitement in the following days moves to the Tikapallana Declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation, a stage where women and men meet with their best traditional clothing to dance and celebrate Carnival.

This traditional celebration comes to an end with the SACHA WITOY (Cut Monte) in Coyllurqui, each year it is celebrated between February and March, organized by the Municipality of Coyllurqui with the Mayors on duty.
