Detailed Itinerary

Tours Day 1: TRIPS TO COCHA CAIMAN – ECOAMAZONIA LODGE

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado you will be picked up either at the bus station or at the airport, then we start with our ecoamazonia ecomagico program, in our panoramic bus we will take a tour of the center of the city between them we will visit the market then we go to the Capitanía port to embark on our motorized boat and we will sail along the Madre de Dios river for 45 minutes.

On the way we will appreciate different types of animals in their natural habitat on the banks of the river you can see Ronsocos, alligators, turtles, herons, cormorants in the Amazon jungle.

Upon arrival at our ecoamazonia lodge you will be welcomed with a delicious tropical fruit drink and then you will be taken to your rooms (bungalows) and we will enjoy a delicious lunch typical of the Amazon rainforest.

After lunch we head down a trail to the specially signposted CAIMAN COCHA. La Cocha is a small lagoon with abundant presence of specimens of black caiman (Melanosuchus Niger) White Caiman (Caiman Cocodrilus) in this journey our specialized naturalist guide accompanies you and with the explanations of the case.

Upon returning you will have a unique experience watching the sunset in the Amazon with a very beautiful color combination. Later we will enjoy a delicious dinner.

At the end of the afternoon, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of color in breathtaking ranges and intensities.

When you return to the ecoamazonia lodge, a delicious dinner will await you, and you will have free time to share your experience with the group while enjoying Amazonian nature.

Tours Day 2: TRAVEL APU VICTOR LAKE – AMAZON VIEWPOINT – MONKEY ISLAND

The sunrise is something incredible will wake up with the song of the birds, the song of the howler monkey. Breakfast very early to start our activities. We begin a walk into the depths of the forest along specially prepared trails with bridges to cross streams and rivers. During this journey you can appreciate an infinity of flora and fauna and we arrive at the majestic LAKE APU VICTOR Natural Reserve, a beautiful place surrounded by swamps and gigantic trees, home to a variety of birds and animals.

We will have the opportunity to ascend to the MIRADOR AMAZONICO (Viewpoint built in the highest part of the trees) from the top you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the lake from where you can They can appreciate species such as: Parrots, Macaws, Toucans, Camungos, Shanshos (Hoatzin which is a type of wild hen with a prehistoric appearance), Herons and other animals, such as Caimans, Turtles, etc. If you are lucky you can see the very spectacular giant Otter, back at the ecoamazonia lodge a delicious lunch awaits you.

In the afternoon we embark on our boat to cross the river and visit the MONKEY ISLAND Unique place we will take a walk we will observe extraordinary places with abundant flora we will be able to find a great variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat such as: Maquisapa Monkey, Capuchin, Leoncillo, Frayle and with luck the Coatí and Sloth Bears and a great variety of birds. Back at the ecoamazonia lodge we will enjoy a delicious dinner.

At dinner it is customary to meet and share our experiences enjoying our last night in the Amazon.

Tours Day 3: ALBERGUE ECOAMAZONIA LODGE – PUERTO MALDONADO

After breakfast very early our boat will bring you back to the city of Puerto Maldonado capital of biodiversity and from there you can connect with your next destination either by bus or plane.
