Detailed Itinerary

Tours Day 1: COCHA CAIMAN – ECOAMAZONIA LODGE

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado you will be picked up either at the bus station or at the Airport, then we will start with our ecological ecoamazonia program, on our panoramic bus we will take a tour of the center of the city between them we will visit the market then we go to the Capitanía port to embark on our motorized boat and we will sail along the Madre de Dios river for 45 minutes.

On the way we will appreciate different types of animals in their natural habitat on the banks of the river you can see Ronsocos, alligators, turtles, herons, cormorants in the jungle.

Upon arrival at our ecoamazonia lodge you will be welcomed with a delicious tropical fruit drink and then you will be taken to your rooms (bungalows) and we will enjoy a delicious lunch typical of the jungle.

After lunch we head down a trail to the specially signposted CAIMAN COCHA. La Cocha is a small lagoon with abundant presence of specimens of black caiman (Melanosuchus Niger) White Caiman (Caiman Cocodrilus) in this journey our specialized naturalist guide accompanies you and with the explanations of the case.

Upon returning you will have a unique experience watching the sunset in the Amazon with a very beautiful color combination. Later we will enjoy a delicious dinner.

At the end of the afternoon, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of color in breathtaking ranges and intensities.

Upon returning to the ecoamazonia lodge, a delicious dinner will await you, and you will have free time to share.

Tours Day 2: LOST COCHA – MONKEY ISLAND

We will wake up with the chirping of the birds and have breakfast very early we will start our day with a walk we will take a walk in the jungle until we reach the LOST COCHA which constitutes an ecosystem of refuge and feeding an immense variety of animals with luck we will be able to observe Otters, alligators, turtles, Sachavacas, tapirs, birds with multicolored plumage and a great variety of fish. This area is unique, it remains intact with immense swamps and various aguajales we can reach the AMAZON VIEWPOINT from where you can appreciate the immensity of the jungle. We will take a small canoe ride around the lake appreciating huge fruit trees inhabited by many species of birds. Return to the lodge and lunch.

In the afternoon we embark on our boat to cross the river and visit the MONKEY ISLAND Unique place we will take a walk we will observe extraordinary places with abundant flora we will be able to find a great variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat such as: Maquisapa Monkey, Capuchin, Leoncillo, Frayle and with luck the Coatí and Sloth Bears and a great variety of birds. Back at the lodge we will enjoy a delicious dinner.

At dinner it is customary to meet and share our experiences enjoying our last night in the Amazon.

Tours Day 3: ALBERGUE ECOAMAZONIA LODGE – PUERTO MALDONADO

After breakfast very early our boat will bring you back to the city of Puerto Maldonado capital of biodiversity and from there you can connect with your next destination either by bus or plane.
