Detailed Itinerary

Tours Day 1: COCHA CAIMAN – ECOAMAZONIA LODGE

When you arrive in Puerto Maldonado, you will be picked up either at the bus station or at the airport, then we start with our program, in our panoramic bus we will make a tour of the center from the city between them we will visit the market then we go to the Capitanía port to board our motorized boat and we will navigate the Madre de Dios river for 45 minutes.

On the way we will appreciate different types of animals in their natural habitat on the banks of the river you can see Ronsocos, alligators, turtles, herons, cormorants.

Upon arrival at our Ecoamazonia lodge you will be welcomed with a delicious tropical fruit drink and then you will be taken to your rooms (bungalows) and we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch from the jungle.

After lunch we head down a trail to the specially signposted CAIMAN COCHA. La Cocha is a small lagoon with abundant presence of specimens of black caiman (Melanosuchus Niger) White Caiman (Caiman Cocodrilus) in this journey our specialized naturalist guide accompanies you and with the explanations of the case.

Upon returning you will have a unique experience watching the sunset in the Amazon with a very beautiful color combination. Later we will enjoy a delicious dinner.

At the end of the afternoon, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of color in breathtaking ranges and intensities.

When you return to the Ecoamazonia lodge, a delicious dinner will await you, and you will have free time to share.

Tours Day 2: LAKE APU VICTOR – MIRADOR AMAZONICO – ISLA DE LOS MONOS

The sunrise is something incredible will wake up with the song of the birds, the song of the howler monkey. Very early breakfast to start our jungle travel activities.

We begin a walk into the depths of the forest along specially prepared trails with bridges to cross streams and rivers. We will have the opportunity to ascend to the MIRADOR AMAZONICO (Viewpoint built in the highest part of the trees) from the top you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the lake from where you can They can appreciate species such as: Parrots, Macaws, Toucans, Camungos, Shanshos (Hoatzin which is a type of wild hen with a prehistoric appearance), Herons and other animals, such as Caimans, Turtles, etc. If you are lucky you can see the very spectacular giant Otter, back to the lodge a delicious lunch awaits you.

Back at the Ecoamazonia lodge we will enjoy a delicious dinner.

At dinner it is customary to meet and share our experiences enjoying our last night in the Amazon.

Tours Day 3: LOST COCHA

We will wake up with the chirping of the birds and have breakfast very early we will start our day with a walk we will take a walk in the jungle until we reach the LOST COCHA which constitutes an ecosystem of refuge and feeding an immense variety of animals with luck we will be able to observe Otters, alligators, turtles, Sachavacas, tapirs, birds with multicolored plumage and a great variety of fish. This area is unique, it remains intact with immense swamps and various aguajales we can reach the AMAZON VIEWPOINT from where you can appreciate the immensity of the jungle. We will do a small canoe ride around the lake appreciating huge fruit trees inhabited by many species of birds. Return to the ecoamazonia lodge and lunch. In the afternoon we will have the option of visiting the botanical garden or if you prefer you can enjoy a bath in the Amazon pool.

Tours Day 4: ALBERGUE ECOAMAZONIA LODGE – PUERTO MALDONADO

After breakfast very early our boat will bring you back to the city of Puerto Maldonado capital of biodiversity and from there you can connect with your next destination either by bus or plane.
