Itinerary Summary

Our clients are picked up from the hotel at 05:00 hrs indicated. The Colca Canyon excursion is done in a private machine consisting of a professional driver and a local guide. We start the tour driving our vehicle to the northeast of Arequipa, crossing interesting scenes, arriving at the Pampean Reserve of Cañahuas. In this place, located about 3,000 meters above sea level, you can see groups of vicuñas and alpacas. Here our guide will stop and explain about the importance of these beautiful Andean camelids. Later we continue ascending to the Mirador de los Andes, a spectacular point on the route, located at 4850 meters above sea level.

Here we will stop and enjoy the beautiful landscape offered by this natural viewpoint. Then we continue our journey to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, passing beautiful landscapes along the edge of the Colca Canyon.

During the trip to this beautiful natural lookout, we stop at key points where there are spectacular views of the canyon. Through our local guide we learn many aspects of the different indigenous groups that inhabited and still inhabit the vast Colca Valley. Later we arrive at the famous Cruz del Condor, here we will have more than an hour to admire the natural beauty that the Canyon offers and also to observe the majestic flight of the Condor and take short walks around it. Later we start our trip back to Chivay, where we stop for lunch in a typical restaurant of this town. Later we visit the thermal baths of Calera, a paradise surrounded by beautiful mountains and hot springs that flow from the interior of the mountain at a temperature of 80 °, and are combined with cold water in a pool of up to 35 degrees, a suitable temperature for a relaxing bath. Finally we return to the city of Arequipa, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.
