The Tipón Archaeological Park contains one of the largest works of Inca architecture with a hydraulic distribution, associated with a drainage system with canals and aqueducts, an urban sector represented by a system of Kanchas, qolqas, housing and ceremonial structures, agricultural sectors with an irrigation system and soil conservation through terraces, fountains, walls, road systems that lead to different regions of Tawantinsuyo and sacred places.
Tipón was an Inca citadel and enclosure dedicated to the cult of water.
Terraces, platforms, stone rooms, adobe and majestically crafted water conduits were built on the site.

The term Tipón is actually an unknown term in the native Quechua vocabulary, possibly a derivation of the proposition Timpuq (hotbed), which could have been a hotbed of People, that is, due to the large number of Inka people who moved to this sector. or also by the mita people who worked on the architectural construction of the various housing areas, Qolqas hydraulic channels and platforms found in the place.
